After Naoto comes out as a trans man, the entire Investigation team 1. Figures out exactly what that means and 2. Apologizes profusely for the stuff they put him through despite their best intentions, and offer to rectify that mistake however they can.
Rise and Kanji both especially apologize. Naoto refuses their offers of help but instead of just taking that for an answer, knowing that Naoto would like top surgery and HRT but can't afford it right now, so the entire team teams up to help pay for it.
Kanji makes crafts and sells them. Yosuke sells a bunch of old video games and puts in some of his Junes money. Yukiko helps out where she can, and Rise sets aside money especially for him from her sales. Souji works part-time and Teddie...is there for moral support.
Naoto is touched, but says that they don't have to give him money just to apologize.
"This isn't an apology. We just want to support you because we're your friends," Souji says.
